Keystone Energy is a key partner in one of Israel’s largest energy infrastructure projects — the construction of the Sorek Power Plant. This state-of-the-art facility is part of a strategic initiative to strengthen Israel’s energy infrastructure, enhance efficiency, and reduce emissions. Designed to operate on natural gas, the Sorek Power Plant will feature Israel’s largest and most efficient natural gas power generation unit, with an expected capacity of up to 900 MW. Construction is set to begin in H2 2026 under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) contract, covering the financing, development, operation, and maintenance of the plant. According to project timelines, the plant is expected to become operational in 2029.
Keystone Energy is providing loan financing for 40% of the required equity and guarantees as part of the winning tender. Upon completion, Keystone may convert part of its loans into equity ownership, subject to regulatory approvals and lender agreements.
