The IPM Power Plant plays a critical role in Israel’s energy transformation, promoting cleaner, more competitive electricity production. Located in Be’er Tuvia’s Industrial Zone, the facility was developed as part of Israel’s shift away from coal-based power generation. Powered by Israeli-sourced natural gas, the plant has a 451 MW generation capacity and produces approximately 3.5 terawatt-hours (TWh) annually, covering 5% of Israel’s total electricity consumption. Construction began in 2018, with an investment of 2 billion ILS, and commercial operations commenced in 2021.
IPM is recognized as one of Israel’s most advanced power facilities, benefiting from a unique regulatory framework that enhances competition in the energy market. Unlike traditional power stations, IPM is authorized to sell electricity directly to private consumers, in addition to supplying the national grid. As part of Keystone’s asset enhancement strategy, plans are underway to develop a data center campus adjacent to the power plant, catering to leading technology companies and financial institutions and benefiting both investors and the broader Israeli economy.
