Established in 1994 and located in the Hof HaCarmel Regional Council, the Hagit East Power Plant is a key player in Israel’s energy transition, supplying cleaner, more efficient electricity. The plant operates on natural gas, supporting the country’s shift toward low-emission energy sources. In 2022, the facility was privatized as part of Israel’s strategy to increase competition in the electricity market, strengthening efficiency and cost-effectiveness for consumers.
Situated on a 170-dunam site, Hagit East serves as a strategic energy infrastructure hub, directly linked to Israel’s high-voltage power grid and national gas pipeline network. This prime location allows for optimized electricity and natural gas distribution across the country.
